Access control systems in Sydney

Keys get copied and never come back. Access control replaces them with credentials you can cancel in seconds, and gives you a record of every door opening.

What an access control install includes

Cards, fobs, PINs or phone credentials
Chosen to suit the site. A warehouse with gloved hands is not the same problem as a professional office.
Time-based rules
Cleaners get in between six and eight. Contractors get a credential that expires on Friday. Nobody gets a key that outlives their job.
A log of every door event
Who opened what, and when. It settles disputes and it satisfies auditors.
Instant revocation
Someone leaves or loses a fob and you cancel it from the panel. No locksmith, no rekeying the building.
Fail-safe and fail-secure done to code
Doors on an escape path release on a fire alarm. We wire this the way the standard requires, not the way that is quickest.
Integrates with the alarm and cameras
A door forced open can arm a camera to record and raise an alarm event, rather than sitting in a log nobody reads.

Questions we get asked

Can it run on the doors I already have?

Often. It depends on the door leaf, the frame and whether it is on a fire path. We check on site before quoting a strike or a maglock.

How many doors is it worth doing?

Even one door is worth it if that door has a key held by people you cannot list. Cost per door falls sharply after the first.

What happens in a power failure?

The controller runs on backup, and doors behave the way we configured them, secure or released, which we agree with you in writing before install.

How much does access control cost per door?

The controller and software are the fixed part; after that it is per door, and the door itself decides the number. An internal timber door taking an electric strike is the cheap end. A glass entry needing a maglock, a break-glass unit and a request-to-exit sensor, on a fire path, is several times that. We price it door by door after looking at them, so you can stage the rollout instead of doing the whole building at once.
